These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CashMap mobile application (“the app,” “CashMap,” “we,” “our”). By downloading, installing, or using CashMap, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CashMap, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
CashMap is a personal budgeting application that uses the envelope budgeting method. The app operates entirely on your device and does not require an internet connection for core functionality. CashMap is designed as a personal finance tool and does not provide financial advice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use CashMap. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy of any financial data you enter into the app
- Maintaining the security of your device and the data stored within the app
- Creating your own backups of any important data, as CashMap stores data only on your device
- Using the app in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
5. Subscriptions and Payments
CashMap offers both free and premium features. Premium features require an active subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Free Tier: Includes basic envelope budgeting with up to 3 envelopes and current-month transaction history.
- Premium Subscription: Available as a weekly ($2.99/week) or annual ($29.99/year) auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase ($59.99).
- Payment: All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. Your App Store account will be charged upon confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Free Trial: Some subscription options may include a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription.
- Refunds: Refund requests must be directed to Apple, as all purchases are processed through the App Store.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of CashMap — including but not limited to design, code, graphics, and branding — are owned by CashMap and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
CashMap is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The app will meet your specific requirements
- Any financial calculations or budgeting data will be accurate
CashMap is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. You should not rely solely on the app for financial decisions. We recommend consulting with a qualified financial professional for financial advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CashMap and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities arising from your use of the app.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, we are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, iOS updates, or any other cause.
9. Data Loss
CashMap stores all data locally on your device. We strongly recommend regularly exporting your data using the CSV export feature (available to premium subscribers). We are not responsible for any loss of data due to device damage, loss, theft, app deletion, or software updates.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of CashMap after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using CashMap at any time by deleting the app from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the app or any features at any time, with reasonable notice when possible.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
